ABOUT US

Founded in 2014, BERI is an independent, non-partisan, non-governmental, not-for-profit membership organisation, with key focus on Education, Health, and Good Governance. We mainstream gender into all our programming. we provide social and micro credit services to rural marginalized women and other financially excluded groups, with a view of empowering them economically and socially.
Since its inception, BERI, has carved a niche for itself as one of the leading frontline non-profit organisations in Bauchi and the North East at large. BERI adopts an in-depth research and data analysis, gender mainstreaming strategies in addressing social problems around Education, Health, and Good Governance issues in all the communities it programs in.
Core of our Education programming is deep commitment to provide access to education to all out-of-school children, with special emphasis on Girl child education and strengthening of basic education system. Our Health programming is centred on the eradication of malnutrition in children, and our HIV/AIDS community intervention is anchored on achieving viral load suppression on all our positive living clients, in actualization of the UN 95:95:95 goals. Our Good Governance programming empowers local marginalised and vulnerable communities with resources to amplify their voices and effectively demand for social accountability, development, good and inclusive governance.

BERI GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE
1. Board of Trustees:
The BERI Board of Trustees (BOT) and its esteemed members are men and women of impeccable characters, who have distinguished themselves in diverse walks of life. They are charged with the responsibility of being custodians of the organisational assets which personifies the organisation.
2. Management Team:
The Management Team is charged with the responsibility of piloting the day-to-day running of the organisation. It consists of the Executive Director, Unit Heads, and Branch Officers.
